Heartland Portrait

Heartland Portrait is the first self-portrait of a region written by its residents.  The product of 18 years of  writing workshops in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, it is the compilation of 5 earlier Free River Press books, plus a dozen or more unpublished stories.   Many of its authors were featured in a 1997 feature on CBS Sunday Morning.
