Carl Cooley
Carl Cooley is a junior at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa majoring in Communication Studies. He volunteers as a DJ at KPVL community radio in Decorah and at KWLC at Luther, where he also works as the recording studio technician. He has found his passion in all things radio, mostly because of the great music and people he discovers through it. Carl is a production editor for FRP's "American Mosaic."
Dylan Syverson
Dylan Syverson grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, and holds degrees in music technology and English. He has worked as a writer, editor, and photographer for various student publications, including Luther College's Chips. An avid musician and sound engineer, he acts currently as half of the correspondence electro-duo Scholl. He lives in Decorah and is a recording engineer and production editor for American Mosaic.
Kari Houghtaling
Kari Houghtaling, originally from Duluth, Minnesota, is a senior at Luther College studying Communication and Management. At Luther, she enjoys being involved in KWLC radio and Pals, a youth mentoring program. She also enjoys traveling and spent the spring 2010 semester in Scotland. Kari has no definite post-graduation plans as of yet, but hopefully she will figure something out in the near future. Kari is a recording engineer and production editor for American Mosaic.
Joe Thor
Joe Thor is a junior at Luther College majoring in history and classics. He was born and raised in Dubuque, IA. He has been involved with KWLC 1240 AM (Luther College radio) for two years and hosts a rock show on KWLC Wednesday nights at 11PM. After college he hopes to attend graduate school with a focus on ancient history.
Kim Horner
Kim Horner is originally from Logansport, IN. She graduated from Luther College in 2011 with a degree in Anthropology and minors in Writing and Environmental Studies. At Luther, she transcribed student journals completed on study abroad trips to Tanzania and edited essays contributed to "Anthropology of East Europe Review." This fall Kim will begin an 11-month AmeriCorps position as a Pre-Kindergarten literacy tutor in Little Falls, Minnesota. Eventually she hopes to work as an editor or a grant proposal writer for nonprofit organizations.
Emmanuel Chidavaenzi
Emmanuel Chidavaenzi, originally from Zimbabwe, is a sophomore at Luther College studying Management and Information Systems and Communication Studies. He enjoys playing and watching soccer, playing video games and disc golf. He is Free River Press web master.
